How To Make Your Magickal Voodoo Inks

In many spells and rituals, a special ink is used when writing on the ritual paper or object. Since ancient time, varieties of natural dyes gotten from sea creatures such as cuttlefish, or from the husk of seeds, plants, berries, minerals etc.. have been used as inks.

Over 5000 years ago, an ink used for blackening raised surfaces of texts and pictures was developed in China. This ink was a mixture of soot from pine smoke, lamp oil, and gelatin gotten from animal skins and musk. Blood was also used as inks especially when sending important messages or recording important events.

Why do you need a Magickal Ink?

There are many reasons why you would need a magickal ink but the major ones include:

  • For writing in your Book of Shadows,
  • For writing down prayers and correspondence,
  • For writing on your talisman
  • For making magical sigils,
  • For writing on specially prepared parchment for petition prayers and spells.

How to Prepare Magickal Inks

The use of magickal inks would enhance the energy and success of the ritual. Nowadays, it might be difficult to find some of the materials that were used as inks during the days of our forefathers and that is why an alternative method is recommended.

During your rituals, you can get your regular pen then consecrate it using a simple ritual adapted from the Key of Solomon.

Hold your pen up in front of you then recite these lines:

ADRAI,                HAHLII, TAMAH,               TILONAS,             ATHAMAS,          ZIANOR,

ADONAI, banish from this pen all deceit and error, so that it may be of virtue and efficacy to write all that I desire. Amen.

After making that recitation, smudge your pen using good smelling incense, sprinkle it with holy water then place it aside in a silken cloth which can be of any color except black or grey.
